SEO agency: be found by the people already searching for what you do.

Your clients type your trade and your town into Google, or ask ChatGPT. Search engine optimisation (SEO) puts you in the results; visibility in answer engines (GEO) gets you cited in the answer. I work on both, and I measure. The free test at the top of this page shows in 2 minutes what Google and AI read on your website.

Your website, tested in 2 minutes

Three tests run while you answer 5 questions. The report arrives by WhatsApp and by email, then I call you to talk about next steps.

The three things Google looks at

To put a page at the top, Google asks three questions. Can it read your website? Does your page answer what the person is looking for? Does the rest of the web trust you? Specialists call these technical SEO, on-page SEO and off-page SEO. You need all three: a website that misses one stays on page two, where almost nobody clicks.

Three circles: technical, content and authority. Page one is where all three overlap. Technical Google can read Content Google understands Authority Google trusts Page one

When one is missing

  • Technical and content, no authority

A clear, fast page that nobody recommends. Google finds it and understands it, but prefers a competitor that other websites cite.

  • Content and authority, no technical

Good copy and good links, on a slow or badly built website. Google reads only part of the pages, and phone visitors leave before it loads.

  • Technical and authority, no content

A solid, well-known website that does not answer the question. It shows up when people type its name, never when a client searches for what it does.

Technical SEO

Can Google find, read and load your website?

  • The page loads in under two seconds on a phone.
  • Everything reads without zooming, on every screen.
  • Every page is found and recorded by Google.
  • Clear addresses, links between pages, no broken pages.
  • A sitemap and a robots.txt file that guide Google.

I measure all of this with Google Search Console and PageSpeed, I fix it, then I check every month that nothing has broken.

On-page SEO

Does your page answer what the person is looking for?

  • The words your clients really type, in the title and the first sentence.
  • A title and description that make people want to click in the results.
  • Subheadings that cut the page the way you would cut an answer.
  • One page per service and per town, rather than one page about everything.
  • Concrete facts: prices, timelines, examples, frequent questions.

I start from what your clients really search for, write the missing pages and rewrite the ones that do not rank.

Off-page SEO

Does the rest of the web trust you?

  • Links to your website from other websites: backlinks.
  • Links from serious websites, close to your trade or your region.
  • Your name, address and phone number, identical everywhere on the web.
  • Reviews on your Google profile, and your replies to them.
  • Articles and sources that talk about you.

I build this trust step by step, with links that are earned. I never buy links.

Authority in one number: Domain Authority and Domain Rating

Every link to your website is a recommendation. SEO tools sum these recommendations up in a score from 0 to 100: Domain Authority at Moz, Domain Rating at Ahrefs. The higher the score, the more easily your pages rise, and the more a link from you weighs for others.

Where websites usually sit

0 to 10A new website, or one nobody cites
10 to 30A well-established local business
30 to 60A regional newspaper, a large association
60 to 100Major media, government websites, Wikipedia

Each step is higher than the last

The score does not rise in a straight line. Going from 0 to 10 takes a few good links. Going from 50 to 60 takes many more, from websites that have a high score themselves. The drawing shows the effort needed to gain ten points, at each level.

Google does not use this number

Google has its own measures, which it does not publish. Domain Authority and Domain Rating are estimates made by tools: useful to compare yourself with competitors, not an official score.

One good link beats a hundred

A link from your regional newspaper weighs more than a hundred links from unknown directories. Google looks at who recommends you, not how many times.

It builds over months

A score that gains twenty points in a week almost always hides bought links. Google spots them, and the website can lose its place.

Two links, two weights

Not all links are equal. Here is what Google sees behind each one.

An article in your regional newspaper

Weight in Google’s eyes
  • A known website, with a high score.
  • Close to you: same region, same readers.
  • Written by a newsroom, not bought.
  • It also brings readers, not only Google.

A hundred bought directory links

Weight in Google’s eyes
  • Unknown websites, with no score.
  • Nothing to do with your trade or your region.
  • Paid for, and Google can tell.
  • Nobody clicks them. At worst, a penalty.

How I build your authority

  1. Your complete Google profile, and the serious professional directories of your trade.
  2. Your name, address and phone number, corrected everywhere they appear.
  3. Links from your partners, suppliers, clients and professional associations.
  4. Content others want to cite: studies, figures, guides. My own studies are publicly archived, with a DOI.
  5. Your score and your competitors’ scores, tracked every month in the report.

What Google and AI read on your website

Five things decide whether you are found. None of them needs an advertising budget.

Your trade and your town, plainly

In the title, the first sentence and the page address. A homepage that talks about “passion” gets no local searches.

Structured data

Name, address, opening hours, services, written for machines. This is what AI cites first.

One page per question

Each service, each town served, each frequent question has its own page. A catch-all page ranks for nothing.

A complete Google profile

Categories, photos, opening hours, replies to reviews. It weighs as much as the website in local results.

A fast website on a phone

Under two seconds, readable without zooming. Google measures it, visitors leave.

SEO and GEO: what changes

Both rest on a readable website. GEO also needs sharp answers.

SEO, Google
  • The goal

Be among the first links on the results page.

  • What counts

The title, the structure, the speed, the links that lead to you.

  • The measure

Positions, clicks and enquiries, in Search Console.

GEO, answer engines
  • The goal

Be cited in the answer ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini gives.

  • What counts

Clear answers, structured data, an llms.txt file, sources that mention you.

  • The measure

Questions asked to AI on a regular basis, and the share of answers that cite you.

Questions
How soon will I see results?

Technical fixes count within a few weeks. New pages take two to four months to rank. I show you positions every month, not only at the end.

Do you guarantee the top spot?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee it. I guarantee the work, the measurement and a clear report every month.

Do I need a new website?

Not necessarily. The website test and the visibility test tell you whether the current site can be fixed, or whether a redesign costs less than patching it.

What is GEO?

Generative Engine Optimisation: the work that gets your business cited in AI answers. The term is new; the work is mostly clear answers on a website machines can read.

How much does it cost?

On a quote. Starting SEO is included in every new website; monthly SEO is part of the Growth maintenance plan, or can be ordered on its own.

What is Domain Authority?

A score from 0 to 100 calculated by the Moz tool, which estimates a website’s weight from the links pointing to it. Ahrefs calculates a similar score, Domain Rating. Google uses neither: they are benchmarks for comparison.

What Domain Rating should I aim for?

That of the competitors on page one for your searches. For a local business, they are often between 10 and 30. The gap between them and you tells how much authority work is left.

Should I buy links?

No. Google forbids bought links meant to gain positions, and it spots them. At best they do nothing, at worst the website loses its place. A link is earned.

Technical, on-page, off-page: where to start?

With the technical side: if Google cannot read the website, nothing else counts. Then the content, page by page. Authority comes last, takes the longest, and lasts the longest.

The figure first, the conversation second.
